Crazy that companies are still choosing to not make faithful game-to-film adaptations when Mario, Sonic, Mortal Kombat, Detective Pikachu, etc all do really big business by being relatively faithful to the source material.
It's been in the works for a while, being on and off, but yes. All the best games from like 20 to 30 years ago are being remade and re-released so that we could pay for them twice 😅

Right? And sometimes it may be for the benefit of the adaptation, but some things are better left the same IMO.

I think I can literally see the passage of time when media/games that I used to enjoy in childhood is getting remastered/remade 😂

Glad to hear a disc drive may be in the cards for a PS6. I still love purchasing physical copies.
