🎮 Dead Island 3 Teaser
During a celebration of having more than 20 million players, Dambuster Studios teased that Dead Island 3 is happening with a new location in mind.
Dead Island has one of the most troubled histories there is, especially the second part, which was in and out of development by multiple studios for a very long time. But then it all came together, and now Dambuster Studios is celebrating a big milestone on X and teasing what’s next:
14 years ago Dead Island made its gory debut.
Today, Dead Island 2 has dragged 20 million Slayers into the sunny chaos of HELL-A.
The next outbreak? Dambuster is already drenched in the work.
The journey is far from over...
I haven’t played the second game yet, but I enjoyed the first one very much. Even though, after playing Dying Light, I realise how similar these two games are, and sometimes I find it hard to distinguish them in my head. With that said, I’m looking forward to this series continuing. As troubled as their history is, it deserves to be among the best zombie games out there IMO.

🎮 Resident Evil Games Are Coming to Switch 2
The rumour mill surrounding Capcom is not stopping, and this time we have a speculation that the publisher is hard at work with porting a bunch of games that are using RE Engine to Switch 2.
According to a notable leaker, AestheticGamer aka Dusk Golem, shared the following information on X:
Yee, they've been working on porting all the RE Engine Resident Evil games to Nintendo Switch 2 for a hot minute now. Requiem should be landing on Nintendo Switch 2 as well. There's grapevine rumor that there's a Nintendo Direct this week & RE7 is going to be there at least but that's a grapevine rumor, & I don't have good insight into Capcom's marketing plans. Just have heard very reliably several times now they're all coming to Switch 2 sooner or later, & that does include Requiem (so RE7, RE:2, RE:3, Village, RE:4, Requiem).
Some good news to those of you who both have Switch 2 and enjoy those new Resident Evil games 😁
But honestly, at this point, I think we can all agree that all the new games should have at least a plan to be ported to Switch, as it kind of cemented itself as one of the major consoles like Xbox and PlayStation. Or at least that’s the impression I’m having talking with people these days, everybody has at least one gaming platform, whether it's PC or one of these 3.

🎮 First Details about PS6
It seems like only yesterday we were talking about the PS5 Pro release, and now we hear the first rumours about PlayStation 6 and what to expect from the next gen console.
According to the exclusive report from Insider Gaming, several sources, who wished to remain anonymous because they were not authorized to talk about company plans, have said that the console will have a detachable disc drive on launch.
And per one of those sources, unless things are changed at the last minute, PlayStation is “firm” on the decision because the disc drive for the PlayStation 5 hit all the company’s internal targets. It was reiterated by the source that the decision was made to reduce manufacturing and shipping costs during “uncertain times”.
Well, the times are uncertain indeed. What I’m baffled about is that, apparently, it’s been almost 5 years since the PS5 was released, and for me it looks like it was just a year or two ago 😅

🎮 Keanu Reeves on Cyberpunk 2
While Cyberpunk 2 is still a distant prospect as CDPR is working hard on the next Witcher game, Keanu Reeves recently shared that he is eager to be a part of it again.
In a recent interview with IGN, Keanu was promoting his upcoming movie Good Fortune, and the question surfaced about the next Cyberpunk game and a potential return of Johnny Silverhand. To which he answered:
Absolutely. I’d love to play Johnny Silverhand again.
Which I think kind of sums up our desires as well. I think from that iconic moment at E3 where there were a lot of “breathtaking” exchanges, he sort of became synonymous with this brand, and for most of us, there is no Cyberpunk without him.
I’m not sure how well he is going to fit into the narrative of the second game with so many different endings involved in the original one, and AFAIK, none of them are considered a difinitive official canon ending. So, CDPR will have some thinking to do. But regardless, I’d love to see him back on the streets of Night City, even if it’s only a manifestation of a corrupted chip 😅

🎮 No Resident Evil 5 Remake In Sight
For those of you who were wondering and somehow hoping, according to a notable leaker’s info, Capcom still has no plans for RE 5 Remake or at least hasn’t greenlit it.
Yes, it’s another rumour from AestheticGamer aka Dusk Golem, who’s recently shared as much on X:
Code Veronica Remake has been in development since 2022, around 3 years of dev now. Code Veronica Remake is ahead of schedule due to a very smooth dev cycle though.
RE5 Remake has not been greenlit at this time.
100% sure on both these things.
Of course, as usual, treat it with a pinch of salt, but with the fact that this game wasn’t really a big hit to begin with, this information makes sense to me. Even though I really enjoyed this game 😢
🎮 Wolverine Update
An upcoming game about Wolverine from Insomniac has been really quiet ever since they released a teaser, and it looks like they are ready to break the silence quite soon.
According to exclusive info from Insider Gaming, the studio will “almost certainly” make an appearance during the next State of Play from Sony (potentially at the end of September), where they will showcase the new trailer for the game as well as some new details that could potentially include a release date.

🎮 KOTOR Remake Concept Art
Speaking of games that have been silent for a while, a report recently surfaced on MP1st that shows some concept art for the KOTOR Remake.
According to the report, this art was unearthed on a website from a concept artist who apparently worked in the studio developing the game up until 2021. Unfortunately, the source link wasn’t provided, no doubt for privacy reasons.
And while the game is DOA at this point, at least we know that we might see some familiar locations if this game is still happening 😅

holds a special place in my heart, but I wanted to give a special shoutout to the reviews you can find there, aside from everything else that posts there. I generally agree with the review. I think Darksiders is one of the biggest franchises that’s underrated in terms of both story and gameplay. I really enjoyed playing the first two games, and I can’t wait to see what their plan is for the 4th one!😄 Personal Update
While I don’t have a lot of new stuff to share, I recently watched the Until Dawn movie, and I have to say, I’m a little bit mad at people who adapt video games. Why can anything be considered an “adaptation” if it shares the same name and possibly some of the characters?
The movie is literally nothing like the game. And I know what some of you may say, that’s an “adaptation” with a “distinct, unique vision”. But I have to disagree. You can’t just slap a brand onto something for the sake of capitalising on a franchise and then do something completely different. I’m a bit disappointed with the industry and with Sony for allowing this whole disaster to happen in the first place 😡

Crazy that companies are still choosing to not make faithful game-to-film adaptations when Mario, Sonic, Mortal Kombat, Detective Pikachu, etc all do really big business by being relatively faithful to the source material.
KOTOR is getting a remake?
I think I can literally see the passage of time when media/games that I used to enjoy in childhood is getting remastered/remade 😂
