Star Wars Total War rumor, GTA 6 console release window, 2K plans to reveal some big news on a major franchise, Samsung's answer to Apple's "Crush" ad, Larian and Activision open new studios in Warsaw
If Star Wars: Total War is going to be lore interesting it should fill the holes between episodes 6 and 7 :-) We have enough of media about the Clone Wars, I think. Then again, I will never pick up a Star Wars game, anyway, what do I know ;-)
Star Wars was as a brand is unnecessarrily complicated from a management point of view.
First, you have George Lucas himself allowing for creating the Expanded Universe only to diss on it.
Then you have Disney making it all "not true" just to retcon it with their own ideas and making some writers (like Timothy Zahn) adjust their own.
I'm not saying these games are bad. I do feel tempted to play some of them - like that remake of Knights of the Old Republic (even if it's basically proto Mass Effect ;-)). But in the end I know they're just fan fiction - non-canon flings that doesn't matter in the grand scheme of lore and shipping.
And it's like the creators don't work with each other, they don't work on the same Star Wars thing. And it's like that forever. So I kinda feel discouraged.
Yeah, I get that. I'm hoping that Dave Filoni is going to make some changes there, now that he is in charge of Star Wars in general. He's the guy behind Clone Wars, Mandalorian, Bad Batch and other pieces of the universe that weren't complete garbage
Me too! I'm in the middle of rewatching the whole thing and so far I'm enjoying it very much. And it's the reason why I'm hopeful about the future of Star Wars, as both of these things are the part of Filoni-verse 😅

To be honest - Clone Wars and The Bad Batch are the only Star Wars I enjoy watching these days :-)
