It will be fantastic if Blizzard could bring back StarCraft Ghost or a shooter in the StarCraft universe. My childhood game, I am happy to hear StarCraft is still being ideated at Blizzard. The only issue it will be going up against Warhammer Space Marine.

Well, they still a lot of time to come up with something original as it's nothing solid right now as far as I understand. But at this point I'd be glad to see anything new StarCraft related 😅

Well, if Fntastic really refunded everyone then I think the game wasn't really a scam but rather a case of overly enthusiastic approach to game development, while neglectic low skills in the team.

I say, we give'em a chance. But no money, before publishing the game ;-)

I'm very and very skeptical. It would be extremely hard (if not impossible) to regain the trust of the community...

Nothing hard work can't do.

If No Man's Sky could do it,

if Cyberpunk could do it,

if Concord...

oh yeah, they just gave up two weeks after the premiere...

I think it's possible ;-)

You hooked me with the AI headline. I’m so curious where this trend goes.

Game development time is really ballooning. But still, having bots replace people, or worse steal work. It’s problematic to say the least.

I hope it goes toward better regulations and recognition, but yeah, so far it's been a little bit of a chaos to say the least...

I'm with you about regulating A.I., like I see it being useful, but I don't want it to replace people to make those on top wealthier. It just feels like greed driven. And I could've sworn, though it might've been a rumor, that Starcraft was getting an MMORPG. I'd play easily. I wouldn't trust Fntastic, unless they have a developer diary where they showcase all their progress. The QA thing sucks, growing up I thought QA would be the coolest thing ever, but as I grew up and heard stories, it seems like it's a bummer. And while I'm still not interested in the new AC, those base building elements got me a little bit.

I would love to see SC back. I'm shit at shooters but I love that universe and would play it.

The Sony AI thing is interesting. I'm all for AI being used for efficiency and helpin devs out. I just don't want it being used to replace artistic jobs or being used to create an entire game.

I agree on both points

I think if AI tangibly reduces triple-a development costs, it will stay.

The plagiarism issue is serious but also academic, seeing it's probably unavoidable due to the large volumes of training data required.

The bigger issue is going to be whether a company with work for hire agreements can use material it owns to fine-tune its specific AI flavour.
