Another factor in the Helldivers 2 saga is that Steam allowed players to get refunds even if they've been playing for a while. Maybe Sony was banking on that those players had nowhere to go. This to me shows Steam's somewhat unique place in giving gamers - PC gamers in particular - a voice.
True. And it's a good thing. I'm pretty sure that if other platforms incorporated the same feature, we'd have a lot more transparency (at least to some degree)
