š® More Halo Remakes Might Be In Development
It looks like Microsoft and Xbox are banking on the recently announced Halo Combat going well, as the information surfaced that more of Halo games might be in development.
According to an X channel with Halo leaks, both Halo 2 and Halo 3 are being developed as we speak:
Halo 2 & Halo 3 are being remade, yes they will have sprint. No multiplayer, only campaign. Full remakes.
Multiplayer is going to be Halo 7.
No ETA on when these could be announced, same source that told me about the remake & itās mechanics also told me Halo 2 & 3 were being remade to.
Itās possible theyāre using Halo Campaign Evolved to judge whether a Halo 2 & 3 remake would be viable, but this is just guessing.
Again, as with any leaks, treat it with a grain of salt.
But this theory does sound somewhat plausible. Halo Combat Evolved Remake is the first Halo game to make its way to PlayStation, and even though the announcement was met with some scepticism from some people, it remains a highly anticipated game. So, itās not that big of a stretch to assume that Xbox would want to capitalise on a potential success by putting the next chapters into a development pipeline. Worst thing, they are just going to scramble them and move on to something else. Wouldnāt be the first time, right?
What do you think about potential remakes of Halo 2 and 3?
š® Rumored Trailer of Half-Life 3
Another rumour surfaced recently surrounding something of a myth in a gaming community, Half-Life 3. Apparently, a reveal or announcement trailer might be in the works at Valve.
According to Tyler McVicker and one of his latest episodes of HLX Files, ācurrent rumour thatās going around is that work on the trailer is occurringā. Among other interesting stuff, he mentions that both the announcement and the game release will be āvery close togetherā. And also that Valve is taking a bit of a different approach with this trailer, shifting away from the approaches of āpublicly-owned triple-A studiosāā.
At the time of writing, Valve hasnāt commented on any of this information.
While the majority of the information being shared is vague as hell, weāve been hearing a lot more buzz on the internet surrounding the game, although Iām not sure that buzz is the right word for it. Itās been a long time since Half-Life 3 was the belle of the ball. Donāt get me wrong, Iād be delighted to play it if it ever comes out, but itās been almost 20 years already, and I feel like even the most hardcore fans have moved on already, so it would be quite hard for Valve to reclaim their hearts and minds.
How likely do you think it is that we would actually get Half-Life 3 in our lifetimes?
š® More Potential Cancellations Of Amazon Games
Following major layoffs at Amazon and the closure of New World, it looks like more MMO projects might be cancelled.
Specifically, the information was revealed (and then removed shortly after) about a highly anticipated The Lord of the Rings MMO thatās been under development at Amazon Games. One of the developers thatās been laid off shared a post on LinkedIn where they specifically mentioned the game:
This morning I was part of the layoffs at Amazon Games, alongside my incredibly talented peers on New World and our fledgling Lord of the Rings game (yāall would have loved it). Itās always tough to see such a strong team go through something like this ā Iāve been lucky to work with some of the most skilled, creative, and kind developers Iāve ever met here.
While it doesnāt specifically say that the game has been cancelled, Amazon mentioned in the announcement of these layoffs that they are going to impact the MMO games, and if they are already letting people go who were working on the title, it looks like its fate is hanging by a thread.
Honestly, I wouldnāt be surprised if it got cancelled. Even with such a major IP involved, there is not a lot of positivity surrounding it. The Rings of Power has been underperforming since its release and has been met with a lot of criticism. Aside from that, there are only two big movies, Hunt for Gollum and another unannounced project following it that we know nothing about. So with the absence of support from other media projects, I feel like itās very likely that the project will be at least put on ice before something major comes along.

š® New Mentions of Persona 6
Speaking of upcoming projects, Atlus, the company responsible for the Persona franchise, has finally broken the silence regarding the 6th game.
It is a bit of a stretch, of course, but according to the Japanese owners of the Persona 3 Reload Switch 2 version, some of them got a survey from Atlus, the company explicitly asked what kind of game you are looking forward to, and one of the answers was Persona 6:
In the Japanese P3R Switch 2 Atlus Survey, they asked what youāre most looking forward to in the future:
- Persona 6
- Persona 4 Revival
- a potential remake or remaster of Persona 1
- a potential remake or remaster of Persona 2 IS & EP
This is the first time Persona 6 has been explicitly mentioned in a survey
The kind of big deal about it is that itās the first time the game was mentioned after the official announcement of development back in 2021.
To me, it looks like Atlus is trying to gauge the interest of the audience in this game. And honestly, Iām having a hard time getting into JRPGs recently. Somehow, only Persona 5 hooked me so hard that I played and replayed it over and over for over 300 hours on both PS4 and PC. I tried getting into other Persona games and Metaphor, but to no avail. Maybe Persona 6 would do the trick when it comes out?
Are you looking forward to Persona 6?

š¬ New Details About Call Of Duty Movie
It looks like the Call of Duty movie is picking up the pace, as it was recently revealed that Yellowstoneās Taylor Sheridan and Friday Night Lightsā Peter Berg joined the project.
The news comes from Deadline, which shared that Berg is directing and Sheridan is producing and writing. And this is kind of a big deal for the movie as, for example, Taylor Sheridan made a lot of successful projects that include ellowstone, as well as shows like Tulsa King, Landman, and Mayor of Kingstown, while Peter Berg is famous for his work on Patriots Day, Mile 22, and Lone Survivor.
š® ARC Raiders āWill Maintain Current Aesthetic ā With Skins
The latest game to declare that it is ānot going to be like Call of Dutyā is recently released ARC Raiders, which features its own skins.
After all the flashy skins that Activision released, every studio jumps at the chance to say, āwe are not like them, we wonāt ruin our gameā, and Embark Studios recently shared as much in their interview with PCGamesN:
What I believe to be true is that we will maintain the current aesthetic that we have. It will fit within our sensibilities of how these things look and fit within the world and inside the fiction.
I think it was said a little while ago in a meeting that we would never, say, make a Santa Claus outfit, but we may make something that is of our own tone and our own aesthetic that evokes a Santa Claus. Thatās not even a statement that we will have a Santa Claus outfit, but I think thatās kind of the line you can draw.
I think because so much of our game is strong around that element, it would be really unfortunate to upset that by injecting, I donāt know, a T-Rex costume running around suddenly ā I donāt think the novelty is worth the trade.
And thatās only a few days after Battlefield decided to change their skins paradigm as well š
š® āAI Canāt Create New GTAā, According To Take-Two CEO
Another take about AI comes from the CEO of Take-Two Interactive, specifically regarding whether AI could potentially create a new GTA. The short answer is ānoā.
During an interview with CNBC, Strauss Zelnick was asked about AI and its role in game development, and it looks like he remains sceptical about just how much it can and will help game development and general production:
We have to protect our intellectual property, but more than that, we have to be mindful of others. If you create intellectual property with AI, itās not protectable.
Letās say there were no constraints on AI. Could we push a button tomorrow and create an equivalent to the Grand Theft Auto marketing plan? The answer is no.
A, you canāt do that yet, and B, I am of the view that you wouldnāt end up with anything very good. You end up with something pretty derivative.
Anything that involves backward-looking data compute, itās really good for that and that applies to lots of things. What we do at Take-Two, anything that isnāt attached to that, itās going to be really, really bad at.
What Iām interested in is whether this will still be true in, letās say, 5 years?
š«” True Tribute!
Today I wanted to salute
!Another great find from
and ! This game almost feels like you are in charge of Vought from The Boys show or something similar and thatās on top of the great Dredge-like artstyle that I like so much. Great work guys! Iāll be adding this gem to my wishlist!š Personal Update
With our next update for AB Bounce steadily approaching, I find myself deep in work once again. Mostly making sure that the development is moving along and coordinating with a lot of external teams.
While thatās still going, Iāve noticed that Battlefieldās Battle Royale game started to stabilise a little bit, so I might give that one at least a fair try. After all, Iāve been waiting for this mode ever since they announced it, but Iām still a little sceptical as it doesnāt look like they went too far from the current incarnation of Warzone that I donāt like.
Also, my partner gave me one of those vertical mice for my BD, and itās a lot more comfortable than I thought it would be, even when you play a shooter game š
This is all the news I have for you folks today.
Thanks for making it this far! š

I think the world would implode if Valve revealed Half-Life 3 at this point.
It's become a thing of myth at this point, and I think that's just kind of what it will remain. After this many years of hype, I don't think it could ever really live up to the expectations being set.
I wouldnāt be surprised to see more Halo remakes from Microsoft.
On the Ai being data driven, and why it couldnāt make a game like GTA 6, that is 100% the case. You canāt innovate with Ai, nothing new because it just looks at what is already there.
The Secret Sauce is to keep things hidden and private before they are released.
That plot twist in the story will surprise your players and they will never forget it.
