David Gaider was told by EA executives “There’s Nerds in the Nerd Cave that will buy any game titled RPG, so ignore them and start targeting people outside the cave.”
And ever since, everything from Dragon Age to Andromeda has been substandard.
Maybe they should respect the “Nerds in the Nerd Cave” instead of taking us for granted!
True. Every time I hope that they've learned their lesson, they find a way to disappoint. BioWare still has some of my favourite franchises, so I'm trying not to give up hope, but it's getting harder and harder with each release 🥲
And no doubt them being bought out will only double down on that aspect of EA. You don’t get bought out for 55 billion and suddenly become a respectable staple of the gaming community
