🎮 Remedy shares some updates on upcoming projects
Following the news shared by Insider Gaming, Remedy Entertainment shared a business review for January-March 2024 earlier this week about the status of their projects.
Here’s the gist of it (if you are not interested in numbers and such):
Alan Wake 2 team is focused on making a DLC to expand the game
Codename Condor, a part of the Control franchise, moved to full production meaning it has reached the final development stage before a game is launched.
Control 2 team has focused on finalizing the proof-of-concept stage and they expect the project to advance to the production readiness stage during the second quarter of 2024.
Max Payne 1&2 remake continued in the production readiness stage. The game is expected to move into full production during the second quarter of 2024.

🎮 Palworld is finally getting some new content
This is an exciting news for me! During IGN's ID@Xbox presentation, Pocket Pair shared a content update for people like me who are waiting for more Pals to get back into the game.
It seems like this summer we can expect a new location and at least 4 new Pals with different traits and abilities. And hopefully a much better logic than during the initial release 😅
Any Palworld fans here? Or fans of survival games for that matter? 🦴🔥🪓
🎮 What is Gray Zone Warfare?
A few days ago, an interesting game popped up on my Steam homepage. And it’s an extraction shooter Gray Zone Warfare (you’ve probably started seeing it yourself if you are a PC player).
Apparently, Gray Zone Warfare was kind of a big deal even before its initial Early Access release a few days ago. According to Insider Gaming, it has dominated the most-wanted chart on Steam, sitting on the wishlists of hundreds of thousands of gamers worldwide. After it hit the store, it skyrocketed up the charts and hit a peak player count of 66,000 users.
From the gameplay I could gather, the game in a nutshell is about choosing a faction, gearing up, and then flying off into the wide, open world. Then you need to either complete missions, fight enemies and other players, or loot valuable items, and then make it back to your base without being shot down.
One can only speculate whether the recent Escape from Tarkov blowback caused such a success, but it seems to be cheap enough to try.
Personally, I like extraction shooters and I’ve been looking forward to more games in that genre, but I’ll probably wait till the developers start fixing the performance issues at least 🔩

📱 Star Wars: Hunters is coming to mobile and Switch
Another Star Wars game is about to hit the mobile platforms (🍎 and 🤖) and Switch on June 4.
Star Wars: Hunters, a free-to-play PvP arena combat game developed by Zynga shared a new trailer this week alongside with a release date.
As you can see from the trailer, this game is focused on Bounty Hunters from the Star Wars universe and a variety of different modes for them to compete. According to their press release: "Star Wars: Hunters features a number of game modes for players to test their mettle, such as Squad Brawl, in which opposing teams will battle to rack up the most eliminations, and Trophy Chase, where competing teams will vie for control of the elusive droid TR-F33"
If you are a fan of Star Wars and enjoy an occasional mobile game session, you should definitely give this a try!
🎮 Just a book for Returnal fans
This is kind of a disappointment for me. Earlier this week I shared a speculation about an upcoming project from Housemarque Studio, creators of Returnal. They’ve posted a cryptic message about announcing something and a lot of people (myself included) expected a new game, a DLC, in general, something…More?
But they announced a graphic novel and an art book based on Returnal to celebrate the game’s third anniversary.
Don’t get me wrong, I love books. But when a gaming company teases something like this and we, gamers, haven’t heard anything substantial about new projects for a while, we kind of expect to see something bigger than a novel. For me it feels like on a Christmas morning I find a huge wrapped box and find there a pair of socks. It’s always good to have an extra pair, but probably not like this.
The graphic novel is titled Returnal: Fallen Asteria, a trilogy of comics coming via Dark Horse 📕
⚙️ If you like coffee and playing games, you’ll like this
Found this amazing channel on PC Gamer.
These guys build some amazing (and nerdy) things, which are the perfect fit for me! Today they built a PC with a coffee machine in it.
Personally, I love coffee so much that I instituted a rule for myself to limit its consumption as it started getting out of control a couple of years ago. I try to drink only 3-4 cups per day and then switch to either water or tea, but back in the day, I used to drink 6-7 cups a day minimum.
When I imagine having this kind of a beast standing beside me the whole day, I would’ve probably failed 😅
If you are a fan of engineering and nerd stuff, this is a great place to be. Now I’ll probably end up spending my afternoon watching this stuff with a warm cup of coffee ☕
This is all the news I have for you folks today.
Thanks for making it this far! 🙌

Control was a bit of a drag for me, but I really wanted to like it more than I did. That's probably why I'm excited for Control 2.
Whoa, thought my two cups of coffee a day was something and tried to cut it down to one))
