Let’s dig in!
🎮 Take-Two CEO on GTA 6 PC Port
This is a bit dated, but since the last episode was mostly about PS State of Play, I couldn't pass on an opportunity to talk about a recent interview with a Take-Two CEO and a hot topic about GTA.
GTA 6 PC release still hasn’t been announced. I mean, we know it’s going to happen, the question is what’s taking them so long to answer this simple question?
Strauss Zelnick (CEO) has been asked about and the answer is the most bizarre corporate mash of words I’ve ever heard:
Well, the lack of an announcement is not something that could be set in stone as near as I could tell, because the only thing that happens after the lack of an announcement is an announcement, I suppose, or a continuing lack of an announcement. I guess that could happen, too. It doesn’t seem to me that either would be set in stone. But Rockstar has an approach to platforms which we’ve seen before. And they will make more announcements in due time. I do believe that the right strategy for our business is to be where the consumer is, and historically what this company has done is address consumers anywhere they are, on any platform that makes sense, over time. Okay?
I mean…What?! Right?
I bet that he probably couldn’t understand it either. But he seems to be too cagy about this quite simple topic. Of course, we are talking about game development here and everybody is trying to guard their secrets to the best of their abilities, but it seems so unnecessary for this particular topic 🤷
GTA 6 is set to arrive in Fall 2025 on PS5 and Xbox.
🎮 Pay-to-win skins in Fortnite
This is quite a hot take this week, eh?
Mad Max fever made its way into Fortnite’s Chapter 5 Season 3 and it’s all about cars now. The new season has a lot of “cosmetics” and battle pass items related to car skins as the car is essentially your win condition during this season’s battle royale. But there is a twist here.
Apparently, the paid skins offer quite the advantage over the free versions you get from the battle pass. This is Wrecked indeed.
I haven’t played this game in a while, but these TikTok videos make a compelling case for why it’s so broken. This is straight-up messing with balance, which is quite surprising for a game of this magnitude. I mean, there were some small cases in other major games, like in League of Legends there were skins that give you a half a pixel more reach with a specific skill shot or a skin that makes your model a half a pixel smaller, but not like this. And I’m more than sure that this move was intentional.
Epic Games already said that they are planning to fix this in the upcoming updates, but I refuse to believe that a game this big introduced this thing without thinking it through. I suspect that it was more of a “hand in cookie jar” situation. They just got caught and couldn’t get away with it, so they are saying that it will get patched.
What do you think? Do you think it was intentional or an accident?
🎮 The Last of Us 2 PC Port is in development, allegedly
Insider Gaming claims are based on information from a notable leaker Billbil-kun.
He claims that a PC port has been in the works since 2021 and is now in the deep development stage, which means that hopefully, we can soon get an announcement and the official release date.
At this time, Sony hasn’t officially confirmed this rumour, but it makes sense to me, considering that Part 1 made its way to PC a long time ago. And I’m looking forward to replaying this one. I have to be honest, TLOU 2 was a bit weaker right after the first part of the game. Without giving away spoilers, it was quite monumental to the series in general. But I still want to relive this experience on a PC.
Waiting for an official confirmation from Sony 🤞

🎬 Just Cause is getting a movie!
Insider Gaming reports that this long-forgotten franchise is suddenly getting a live-action movie!
There’s not much else that is known at this point, as this franchise has quite a troubled history. After the first one, the games were always in a hit-or-miss kinda situation, the licenses were passed from one studio to the next. The only certain things are these: Kelly McCormick and David Leitch are on hand to produce the movie, working hand-in-hand with Dmitri Johnson, Mike Goldberg, and Timothy Stevenson. It’ll be directed by Ángel Manuel Soto (Blue Beetle).
Honestly, I’m pretty hyped about this one. Just Cause was one of the first open-world games I’ve ever played and it has one of the biggest worlds ever. I remember spending hours upon hours just exploring the world, unlocking different vehicles and weapons, and causing all kinds of mayhem. I have only 2 concerns: the director’s last movie was a disaster (I don’t know a single person who liked Blue Beetle) and who’s going to play Rico?
Fingers crossed to have Pedro Pascal as a lead 🤞 (even though this guy is in everything now)
🎬 Yakuza series is heading to Amazon Prime
It looks like the era of video game movies and series is finally here as Amazon starts to double down in this direction after the success of Fallout.
This week I learned from Kotaku that apparently the Yakuza series is in the works and it’s been there for some time. It will star Ryoma Takeuchi (Kamen Rider: Drive) as lead character Kazuma Kiryu, with direction by Masaharu Take (We Make Antiques) and Kengo Takimoto (Kamen Teacher), in a six-episode show taking place in both 1995 and 2005.
What’s good is that the Executive Producer behind the games officially signed off on this series, so my guess is that fans of this series will not be disappointed.
I haven’t played any of the games, but I know that these games have a pretty huge fan base, they are all great in their own genre and have their unique perspective, gameplay and plot, and overall are great. So if you are a fan of these games, you are going to be in for a treat!
Like A Dragon: Yakuza will be released in two three-episode batches, one on October 25, and the next on November 1.
🎮 Hogwarts Legacy update is about to go LIVE
If you are a fan of a Wizarding World, you are in for a treat. The biggest game yet in the series is about to get a huge update.
In short, the update will include:
Photo Mode
Talents Reset feature (finally!)
New quest that allows you to have your own shop at Hogsmeade
New cosmetics for everyone
New broom
And more!
I’ve just recently started playing this one and it’s awesome! I mean, some of the quests are a bit repetitive and start feeling like a chore after you are 40 hours into the game, but I’m very looking forward to the next big update. And I’m a bit disappointed that there are no quidditch, but oh well…
This is all the news I have for you folks today.
Thanks for making it this far! 🙌

The time for a Just Cause movie was probably ten years ago. Unless they have a new Just Cause game coming that's better than the ones before it, I can't see it doing well.
love your work!! regarding fortnite — i see this so commonly with so many companies that try to implement problematic things (whether it’s in a game, social media platform, etc) with hopes that they won’t get called out. if they do, easy fix. “sorry for the oversight. patched next update.” everyone gets over it. i think that’s where the strategy is.
